Your notes stay on your device

GuestSheet stores your sheet titles, contact details, instructions, checklist items, owner checkmarks, and optional care-until dates in local app storage. We do not upload this content to a server. GuestSheet does not access your address book, photos, location, or full gallery. No account is required.

Sharing is your choice

Share text opens the Android share chooser with the handoff you previewed. The app you choose receives that text and handles delivery under its own privacy policy. Recipients can keep or forward it. Shared copies cannot be updated or recalled. A care-until date is information only: it does not expire a copy or schedule a notification. Owner checkmarks stay on this device; GuestSheet cannot confirm a guest read or completed anything.

Optional usage analytics

Analytics is off by default, including automatic collection. If you turn it on, Google Analytics for Firebase receives fixed usage events for creating a sheet, selecting a share action when Android reports success, and deleting a sheet. Custom event details are limited to a numeric checklist count and the fixed format value “text”. Firebase may also collect app-instance identifiers, app/device information, and automatic usage events such as sessions. We never include names, contact details, note text, dates, photos, or sheet identifiers in analytics. Advertising ID collection and advertising consent are disabled. Automatic screen reporting is disabled.

Changing your choice

You can turn analytics off in Settings. This stops future collection and requests a reset of analytics data on this device; it does not erase events already received by Google. If your device cannot save a change, GuestSheet shows an error so you can retry. Learn about Google's handling of analytics data in Google's privacy policy.

Storage and deletion

You can delete one sheet or delete all local data in Settings. Deleting all local data also turns analytics off. App data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes your notes. GuestSheet does not add its own encryption or promise secure erasure, and is not a password vault. Anyone able to unlock your device may be able to read your notes.
